As summer is approaching, and hot weather will be presented to us, it is important to have the essentials when prepping our bedroom for summer nights.
Room Temperature
Sweaty nights, should be avoided and the simplest way to do this is by making sure your bedroom temperature is set between 60 and 67 degrees Fahrenheit. Our body temperature can get very hot when we sleep and if not regulated we can end up with a very uncomfortable nights rest.
Bedding
In addition to room temperature, bedding, and linens play a huge role in temperature regulation at night. When seasons change, bedding should change too. You wouldn't want a massive and heavy duvet on a hot summer night… you will literally BOIL. We recommend looking at lighter bedding, providing a cool yet cozy feeling when wrapped up. Luckily, we carry an all season duvet, that can be used year-long. For those hot and humid nights in Miami, to the cold and windy nights in New York.
Mattress
Another huge factor in temperature regulation would be the current mattress you are sleeping on. Do you overheat at night? Its essential to have a mattress with cooling benefits and can dissipate heat all while you are sleeping.
Materials in mattresses have a huge effect, on this. For example, regular Memory Foam is known to run very hot; rather gel memory foam has more advanced technology for this not to happen. We highly recommend taking a look at 100% Talalay Latex Mattresses as they are incredible at not overheating and carrying body heat out of the mattress itself. Not only does it do this, but it is also a very comfortable and healthy mattress overall.
Ultimately, you will end up sleeping extra cozy and with endless amounts of good nights sleep.
